The Halloween 2020 Event introduced five event-specific creatures, a new event quest-line, and a temporary minigame to the Outpost. The event ran from October 17th to November 20th, 2020. Event statistics can be viewed here.
Event Creatures[]
Five new creatures were released for the Halloween 2020 Event: Inkuba Brulajo, Strigosto, Abomena Pahidermo, Sabla Rego, and Okula Pikilo. They were gradually introduced to the cupboard on October 17th alongside the first Halloween quest, "Something is amiss in the Outpost...." As the event progressed, the creatures flooded the cupboard. They slowly left the cupboard by November 15th. They are breedable year-round and will return in the cupboard during next year's event.
Creature Variations[]
Each creature from this event has relatively simple genetic variations, with only three traits and three variations per trait. This allowed players greater chances of collecting all possible variations during the limited-time event.
Event Quests[]
The event plotline centered around a mysterious virus called the Fade. This virus caused creatures in players' labs to appear desaturated. A small gear-like icon signified that a creature had the Fade. Scrolling over the creature would show its original colors.

This mechanic was initially introduced with no explanation; some players even reported it as a bug! When asked, Corteo said that they would look into it. However, the Fade spread throughout labs and quests began revolving around its cure, signaling its status as an event mechanic.
As the event progressed, the GSP was introduced. It featured first Mastermind and then Minesweeper. Lore-wise, it served the purpose of analyzing genetic samples from affected creatures in order to find a cure for the Fade. Players were encouraged to fill a personal achievement bar as well as a site-wide progress bar.
